1. What this site is

This site publishes compiled statistics about the theatrical performance of films. The figures are estimates derived by the operator from publicly reported trade information using the methods described on the methodology page. They are not audited receipts, not official figures of any producer, distributor or exhibitor, and not endorsed by any of them.

2. No reliance

Figures may be revised at any time. You must not rely on them for any financial, investment, contractual or legal decision. The operator does not provide investment, financial or professional advice.

3. No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law the operator disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

4. Limitation of liability

The site is free to read. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator's total liability for all claims arising from or relating to the site or its figures, whether in contract, tort, negligence, statute or otherwise, is limited to the amount you paid the operator for the service concerned in the twelve months before the claim, and where you paid nothing, to INR 500. The operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, data, goodwill or reputation, however caused and even if advised of the possibility. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

4A. Your indemnity

You will indemnify and hold harmless the operator against all claims, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these terms, your use of the site's figures in any publication, product, decision or dealing with third parties, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

4B. Free use is not a consumer service

Reading the site without payment is provided without consideration and does not create a consumer or service relationship. Paid services, where offered, are governed by their own agreement.

5. Intellectual property

The compilation, selection, arrangement, derived figures, methodology, text and design of this site are the operator's property and are protected as a literary work and compilation under the Copyright Act, 1957 and international treaties. Individual facts are not claimed. Third-party names and marks belong to their owners and are used, where used, only to identify them.

6. Permitted and prohibited use

You may read the site and quote individual figures with a link to the page. You may not: copy, crawl, scrape or extract the site's data in bulk; build or sell a database or dataset derived from it; republish its tables; remove notices; use automated means other than public search-engine and AI-assistant crawlers that honour robots.txt; or use the site for unlawful purposes. Licensed data access, where offered, is governed by a separate agreement.

7. Corrections and takedown

Anyone may request a correction or removal through the corrections and takedown page. Requests are acknowledged within 72 hours and are the sole remedy for any disputed figure before any other step is taken. Corrections are applied by adding a new figure; prior figures are retained as revisions.

8. Third-party sites

Links to other sites are provided for convenience. The operator does not control and is not responsible for their content.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, by a sole arbitrator, seated at [CITY], India, in English. Each party bears its own costs. Class or representative actions are waived to the extent permitted by law. Courts at [CITY], India have exclusive jurisdiction for any matter not subject to arbitration.

9A. Severability, waiver, entire agreement

If any provision is held unenforceable it will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the rest remains in force. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms, the Disclaimer, the Privacy Policy and the Methodology are the entire agreement about the site. No third party has rights under these terms.

9B. Force majeure and availability

The operator may suspend, change or withdraw the site or any figure at any time without notice and is not liable for any unavailability or for events beyond its reasonable control.

9C. Use outside India

The site is operated from India for an Indian audience. If you access it from elsewhere you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for local law.

10. Acceptance and changes

By accessing any page you accept these terms; the acceptance notice shown on your first visit records this. Paid or downloaded services require a separate express acceptance. The operator may change these terms by posting a new version with a new effective date; continued use is acceptance of the change.
